I don’t know what hasppened last night. One minute we were al eating and dancing and laiughing then screamingand ripping and tearing at the beast. We didn’t know it was Simon. Or at least i didn’t. I didn’t ebven stay for that part. Im sure it wads an accident anyway. That must have been awful I’m glad me and ralph and the twins left early
So maybe there realkly is a beast. Ralph said he saw it and i don’t think he would lie about that. If threre really is a beast its up on the mouuntain so were gonna do the fire obn the beach now. At least we were until all the boys left! we hafd the fire going and thern we saw that half the boys were gone! i hope they’re not off with Jack or something.
Thoise stupid boys all weent hunting anbd let the fire go out! That was probably our only chabnce ever to be rescued and they ruined it! Jack thinkks he’s so tough killing a pig but its his fault were gonnad died here. He broke one of my lenses when he hit me so now i caadn only see in one eye. And there isn’t anyt stupid beast and there is no such thing as ghosts!
We’re finally doing something! We’re building shelters and trying to keep the signal fire going in case a ship passes. Some of the boys are complaining and i don’t really like building shelters but if it helps us get rescued then I’m okay with it.
No one wants to help with anything! We’ve been on this island forever and we don’t even have shelters. I can’t do much because of my asthma but none of the other boys have asthma they are just being lazy.
Those stupid hunter boys have started painting their faces. All they care about is meat. We need to be focused on getting rescued!! I think even Ralph is starting to forget about getting back home. I miss my mom
Those boys think they’re so smart! They steal my specs and use them to make a fire then set the whole island on fire! We still haven’t found the little boy with the birthmark and i don’t think we will. We have no shelter and all anyone wants to do is make fire and eat fruit. We’re never gonna get off this island
People are already starting to get distracted. The little kids are running around and playing and the older boys want to go hunting. We don’t even know if we’re the only ones on this island!! We need to keep the fire going and make shelter if we’re ever gonna get off this island.
Somehow we crashed on this abandoned island. Everyone was scattered around so we called a meeting and i think Ralph was right about us having to take care of ourselves. There aren’t any grownups. Ralph got elected chief and thank goodness because i do not like that Jack Merridew boy. Some of the boys went to explore around the island and i had to stay behind and take names because of my asthma.
